- This site is for grown-ups. Parents and guardians place orders, not children.
- We ask for only what Santa needs to write the letter: first names and a few fun details.
- We use it only to make and deliver your order. We never sell it, and we never use it for advertising.
- We delete your child's details and letter files after the season, by January 31, 2027.
- You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
Peppermint Quill is a small seasonal business in Utah County, Utah, that makes personalized letters from Santa. Questions about this policy can go to hello@peppermintquill.com.
This site is for parents, not children
Our order pages are meant for adults. The storybook pages (Santa’s Mail Room) have no forms and collect nothing. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and we don't offer accounts, chat, or anything else meant for children to use. Any details about your child come from you, the parent or guardian, and you decide what to share. If we learn that a child has sent us information directly, we'll delete it.
What we collect

We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don't build profiles of you or your child.
How we use it
We use your information only to create, print, deliver, and support your order, and to keep the basic records a business is required to keep. We don't send marketing to children. We'll only email you about your order unless you choose to hear from us next season.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us fulfill your order, and only what each one needs:
- Payment processor (Stripe): processes your payment.
- Print-and-mail partner: receives the finished letter and the mailing address so it can print and mail your order.
- Email and file storage providers: send your confirmation and PDF, and store order files during the season.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information or your child's information. We may share information only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We delete your child's details and the letter files from our systems after the holiday season, no later than January 31, 2027. We keep a minimal order record (your name, email, what you bought, and the amount) for tax and accounting purposes, without your child's details. Our service providers keep their own records under their own privacy policies, and where they let us delete order files, we do.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we have about your order, correct it, or delete it. If you delete it before your letter ships, we may not be able to finish your order. Email hello@peppermintquill.com from the address you ordered with, and we'll respond promptly, within 30 days at most.
Keeping it safe
We limit access to order information to the people who make the letters, use reputable providers with strong security, and collect as little as possible in the first place.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. We won't start using your child's details in a new way without asking you first.
